Intelligent Methods in Engineering Sciences (IMIENS) is an international, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research articles and review papers on intelligent systems and their applications in engineering. The journal provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to share methods, experimental studies, and applications that bridge theory and practice, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, pattern recognition, soft computing, robotics, and data-driven decision support in industrial, agricultural, healthcare-related, transportation, and supply-chain engineering problems.
Papers are expected to present sound methodology, reproducible results, and a clear application-oriented contribution. The topics below are indicative, not exhaustive.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: artificial intelligence; machine learning; deep learning; artificial neural networks; supervised, semi-supervised and unsupervised learning; soft computing and fuzzy systems; evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence; Bayesian learning; evolving methods.
Perception and Signal Analysis: computer vision and active vision; pattern recognition; image and video processing and analysis; medical imaging; speech generation and recognition; natural language processing.
Intelligent Systems and Knowledge: intelligent agents and multi-agent systems; decision support systems; knowledge management and representation; ontologies; intelligent system design; human–computer interaction; models and computational theories of human cognition; brain–machine interface systems; data mining.
Engineering Applications: intelligent robotic systems; intelligent transportation systems; condition monitoring, quality control and fault detection; agricultural and food-engineering applications; supply-chain and operations analytics.
The journal publishes research articles and review papers. Manuscripts that are outside this scope may be declined without peer review.
