Writing Rules

Cover Letter : All submissions should include a cover letter as a separate file.A cover letter should contain a brief explanation of what was previously known, the conceptual advancement with the findings and its significance to broad readership. The cover letter is confidential and will be read only by the editors. It will not be seen by reviewers.

ORCID : ORCID information of all authors included in the article should be added correctly in the relevant field in the template during the article upload. Articles that do not meet this requirement will not be evaluated.

Copyright Form : Authors are required to submit the Copyright Transfer Form (available from the journal's WEB page) in PDF format with the publication. Copyright transfer of the articles is taken by filling out and signing the form presented on the journal website. Articles of authors who do not submit the signed Copyright Transfer Form are not published.

Similarity Report : The author (s) acknowledge that the submitted work complies with the PUBLICATION ETHICS and accepts ethical responsibility for the article. Each author is equally responsible for the article content. The manuscripts submitted manuscripts are first submitted to the referees after being subjected to iThenticate® (Professional Plagiarism Prevention). Manuscripts are checked with the iThenticate® program, and if plagiarism or self-plagiarism is determined, the article is not evaluated. The similarity rate should be at most 25%, excluding references.

Ethics Committee Report & Declaration : For the carried out studies, the permit or ethical declaration form obtained from the relevant institutions and organizations regarding the data, information and documents within the frame of academic and ethical rules must be uploaded to the system (as an additional file).

First Presentation Format : Author(s) should use these specific styles for each part (for example title, abstract, keyword etc.) of the manuscript. The detailed information about these styles can be found in the template file.

Manuscript Template (.docx)

The text should be written in A4 (210x297mm) in single-spaced using Times New Roman character and 12 pt. Manuscripts should not exceed 20 pages, except for manuscripts including references and figures. Each application must be submitted with a cover page (specifying the author's information to be contacted). On the cover page, the subject of the article should be stated and the innovations ((highlights)) should be stated in the articles. If available, a graphical abstract may be provided.

If possible, recommended main section titles are:: ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSIONS, CONCLUSIONS, DECLARATION OF ETHICAL STANDARDS, CREDIT AUTHORSHIP CONTRIBUTION STATEMENT, DECLARATION OF COMPETING INTEREST, FUNDING / ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, DATA AVAILABILITY, REFERENCES, APPENDIX.

COVER PAGE: The title of the work should be written centered on the page in capital letters. The title should be short and clear. Under the title, the name and surname of the author (s) and postal and e-mail addresses, ORCID should be written.  Highlights of the study and, if available, a graphical abstract may be provided.

ABSTRACT: Abstract should not exceed 250 words in English. Keywords should be included at the end of the abstract.
REFERENCES: Citations in the text should follow the referencing style used by IEEE (https://ieee-dataport.org/sites/default/files/analysis/27/IEEE Citation Guidelines.pdf). IEEE citation style [1] includes in-text citations, numbered in square brackets, which refer to the full citation listed in the reference list at the end of the paper. The reference list is organized numerically, not alphabetically. Articles must be created using resource management software such as Mendeley [2], EndNote [3], Zotero [4], etc.
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa).
TABLES AND FIGURES: All images (photos, drawings, diagrams, graphics, maps, etc.) that do not contain charts should be named figures. Each table and figure should be numbered according to their transitions in the text and should be placed as close to the place they are mentioned. Table headings should be placed above the table and figure headings should be placed under the figure. The titles of figures and tables used in the study should be centered and written in 10 points.
Text in the tables should never be less than 8 points. It is preferable that the table fits on a single page, but may overflow onto the second page if necessary. Handwriting should never be used in the figures. All graphics and photographs should be of printable quality.
Figures must have a minimum resolution of at least 300 DPI. Faint and fine lines should be avoided in the preparation of shapes. Each figure and table are cited in the text.
FOOTNOTES: Footnotes should be avoided as much as possible, but if necessary, they should be separated by a line at the bottom of the page where they are used.
TERMINOLOGY AND UNITS: Please use the International Unit System (SI). For the use of units, the Regulation on the International System of Units should be reviewed. Articles should be written in Microsoft Word.

Revision of Article

For the articles requiring corrections, first, a RESPONSE TO REVIEWER file is created. This file consists of a table containing reviewer recommendations and responses to reviewers (Table 1).

Authors should create a table for each reviewer recommendation and provided response, indicating their thoughts on the recommendations.

The revised text of the article, with corrections (changes, additions, or deletions) highlighted, should be appended to the continuation of the Response to Reviewer file.

These processes are continued after each round of corrections requested by the reviewers.

  • All Authors approved the manuscript and this submission.
  • Citation in text: every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list.
  • References are written according to the instruction above. Where available, URLs for internet file references have been provided.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
